Those Atosa's are rust factories. How long does it take you to melt down an evap like that with your torch? I normally throw a couple heat guns in there with a battery operated fan but it takes FOREVER! Good work buddy! 😃

Draining the swamp. The reservoir needs a fine mesh screen or some other kind of cover to keep dirt and dust from settling in it. Recall or no recall, you're the man, the super tech.

Such is the life of a technician. I had an old neo ice machine that would flood every time it went into harvest. The 3/8" drain line could not drain fast enough. Repiped to 3/4", and as the jingle goes, "Away go troubles down the drain."

Maybe if you got Tippens some better booze, he would not fall down so much. Just a thought 🤔

That unit is a POS. The scale is out of hand. I guess that guy didn't know if you turned the unit off,the ice melts. That call is why i dont like to T drain lines. Also, i have when handy men install 3/8 drain lines. Like bro, they send a whole book showing how to install it with pictures and numbers if you can not read.

What is the difference between the two temp controls in the first one? They both just cut out the compressor and the fans keep spinning to defrost right? Sorry I’m a little confused what the problem is. Also that ice machine was NASTY lol!

Dave i need to ask for some tech support. I got a hojazaki that starts dumping water as soon as it gets to about 75% or 80% of a full trough. But it continues to dump water as soon as the water pump comes on until it runs out of water for the pump to pick up. The dump spring and stopper are in place and appear to be in good condition. The greedy siphon thing is screwed down into the base but not overly tight and the o-ring appears to be making a good seal. I can't figure out why it's continuing to drain water as soon as it fills up until it runs out.

I encountered similar case today after watching this video yesterday Dave. this r134a unit was also low on charge though. I put in some and move on.
